My girlfriend and I planned a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico. And the first thing on our minds was: how are we going to keep up with our training?
We warmed up and practiced some skills then continued with 5 sets of 3 heavy power cleans.
“The Chief” was on the board:
3 min AMRAP x 5 with 1 minute rest
3 power cleans 135#/95#
6 push ups
9 air squats
We performed the workout and felt like our bodies moved super slow. We hadn’t acclimatized to the 20 degree increase in temperature yet.
Our second visit we participated with the class and the WOD was a MetCon:
15 minute AMRAP
20 push press 95#/65#
20 kb swings 32kg/16kg
200 m run
Our bodies were feeling much better on this one…but still didn’t move like we wanted to. The sun and heat was a major factor for two Canadians.
This was an amazing experience. We really enjoyed the facility and the coaching. I would recommend stopping in for a fun workout if your planning a trip to Cabos.
