We have a diverse community full of Rebels that keep coming back year after year – we can’t thank you enough for your continued support. You guys make the Rebel gym an inclusive environment and a really fun place to train! We would like to recognize a number of people that have been with us from the beginning (nearly 5 years) -back when we we’re renting space in a small gym using borrowed equipment and making the best of what we had. Also recognize those who saw the vision of what the Rebel gym could be (nearly 3 years) -even though we were training in a small 2 car garage with ceilings so low that our skipping ropes would hit and learning to lift weights without waking up the neighbours. We are humbled by your commitment and thank you for allowing us to develop and grow. A SPECIAL THANK YOU…

Last month we tested a 4:30 mobility class.  Although the practice was well received, the time slot was not.  In an attempt to re create this experience with greater frequency we are testing some schedule changes for June. All evening classes will remain 60 minutes in length with optional 30 minutes of mobility before or after class. WHAT? Each 30 minute session will focus on increasing mobility and stability where necessary.  With a focus on developing skills, movements and lifts. Members will be guided through joint mobility techniques, stability practice and soft tissue mobilization. WHEN? Starting the first Monday of June the schedule will look a little bit different. WHO? It’s for everyone! We all know that daily mobility/maintenance (minimum 15 minutes) is key to healthy living. WHAT? In a attempt to increase our gyms understanding of mobility and establishing good maintenance habits we have created 2 x 30 minute mobility classes per week. The classes will introduce mobility theories and practice.  We will focus on increasing ROM and reducing DOMS.  We will provide lacrosse balls, foam rollers, the stick, compression bands etc… WHEN/WHERE? Monday and Wednesday @4:30 pm at the gym. WHY? Because it’s good for you. During our regular 60 minute classes it’s challenging to “fit it all in”. Foam rolling isn’t a focused effort when mixed with 10 minutes of gossip before class.  Lol. Honestly most of us love to come to the gym get a good sweat and leave pumped full of endorphins and dopamine. Don’t get me wrong…getting sweaty every day is awesome and…
